Hair Tutorial: The Wand and short Hair

Ahhh, “The Wand”. What is it? How does it work? No worries, I got you!
Having naturally curly hair, I’ve never had to worry about using a curling iron or any curling device my entire life.
Now as I “mature”, I am coloring my hair more and more and my hair is becoming more damaged. In other words, the curls aren’t quite what they used to be.
At 40 years old, I asked my hairdresser to help teach me how to use a curling iron. Yes, I never used one before. These are probably things I should know how to do as a grown woman… but I digress.
Anyway, this is when she introduced me to the Wand!
It took me a while to get the hang of it, but almost 5 years later, it has been my favorite!
Over the many years of working with, teaching, and mentoring people, I’ve learned that if I am asked the same question multiple times, then it’s time to turn that question into a lesson or tutorial.
That’s why we are here today.
I have had so many people ask me about my hair. How I style it, what I use, how I do it, etc.
I’ve had complete strangers come up to me to ask me these questions. I even had one lady ask me if she could take a picture of my hair.
Do I think my hair is awesome?
Not by any stretch… I have just finally found a way that works for me. And I have finally fallen in love with it.
So here is a short wavy beach hairstyle tutorial using The Wand.
Having crazy, coarse, short, naturally curly hair… how do I tame that frizz and end up with a nice beach wavy look?

Products used:
Satinique Final Step Finishing Spray
I would recommend using this wand. It also comes with a heat protective glove.
